Its exceptional weight comes from a rim built with Torayca T1100G carbon, an ultra-high-modulus fiber that allows a lighter, stiffer layup without sacrificing strength or ride quality.

RIM GEOMETRY

The RS40 SL's 40mm rim profile was shaped and refined in a bicycle-specific wind tunnel, so the low weight doesn't come at the cost of aerodynamics — you still get a meaningful aero advantage on the flats and rolling terrain. The hooked rim design features a modern 21mm internal width and 28mm external width, striking the ideal balance between wide tire support, aerodynamic efficiency, and compatibility with a broad range of tubeless and clincher tires.

HANDBUILT IN CANADA

Every RS40 SL is handbuilt in Canada, where skilled wheelbuilders hand-lace, tension, and true each wheel to exacting standards. Sapim CX-Ray aero bladed spokes reduce weight and drag, ceramic bearings minimize rolling resistance, and internal spoke nipples keep the profile clean and aerodynamic.
