The Aquila EVO R Gen 3 is the product of everything we've learned — from the wind tunnel, the road, and the riders who push our bikes to their limits. Mono-Mold construction eliminates the bonded joints of conventional carbon manufacturing, delivering a frame with superior structural integrity and a fighting weight of just 700g in a size medium with paint.
Refined CFD analysis guided a narrower, more aerodynamically intelligent tube profile. The fork blades open wider, managing airflow through one of the most critical zones of the frame. Every detail has been tightened, every gram questioned.
Three generations in. This is the EVO R at its finest.

Mono-Mold Technology

Mono-Mold Technology

Compared to traditional carbon frame manufacturing processes. Where the construction of the frame comprises of 2-3 separate sections which are molded separately and then bonded together. We construct our frame using Mono-Mold technology. A true one-piece mold to produce the frame. The entire frame is formed as a single unit, eliminating the need for subsequent adhesive bonding of individual tubes. The key advantages of this approach is superior structural integrity, greater resistance to stress and fracturing, and a lighter, more reactive frame.
Reduced Weight

Reduced Weight

Omission of adhesives and connectors and a purer material composition typically reduce frame weight by tens to hundreds of grams compared to tube-to-tube construction. In a size medium the previous generation EVO R tips the scales at 890 grams. The new EVO R trims down to a fighting weight of 700 grams with paint in the equivalent size.

Optimized continuous carbon fiber alignment ensures efficient load transfer, particularly enhancing torsional and bending performance in the bottom bracket and head tube areas. In order to push the Evolution of the EVO R, we had to dig back into the details. Through further CFD analysis, we started to pinpoint where the peak of aerodynamics lie at the common yaw angles that a bike is exposed to. At those points we started to round off, and reduce the size of the tube shapes of the frame to facilitate aerodynamic optimization. Furthermore we opened the distance between the blades of the front fork by 1cm on each side, increasing air flow through a critical area of the frame. Its like hiding from the wind…
