Crono SLR...

When we first launched the Aquila Crono back in 2001, it started a journey towards the possibility of producing some of the fastest and best performing Triathlon and Time-Trial bikes. What we have learned over that period of time, has been the foundation of the best Crono yet. The last iteration of the Crono was very much a triathlon focused platform. Launched back in 2018, this platform was built upon the reputation we garnered on the Ironman, Pan-Am and ITU circuit. Collecting medals along the way, including the all-time fastest bike split set by Noel Harrington at Ironman Canada in Penticton BC.
This new Crono has been designed not to rest on our laurels, but to build upon them. Taking inspiration from the successes of our other models, such as the Equipe TR, which recently set a World record for the Hour on the track. Taking these achievements and incorporating them into the building blocks used to design and produce current and future models. Not only is the Crono still a weapon in the world of Triathlon, it is also a platform designed to beat the clock in the time-trial circuit.

Tidy Integration

Finding the balance between functionality and Aero performance. The new Crono SLR features Tidy cable integration. Amplified aerodynamics, stealth aesthetics, ease of adjustability.

AEROEND

We spent lots of time and effort constructing the front end for the Crono SLR. Setting performance and adjustability as the main objectives. We are confident to say we found the perfect blend.

Through much R & D, we identified that singular posted extensions is not only more aerodynamic, but it also allows for easier stack adjustability. Combined with 2 points of adjustment for extension reach, and a pivoting system for forearm tilt, our new AeroEnd system is highly accommodating to dial in your fit.

SIZE RANGE

The outgoing Crono was offered in 5 sizes. We decided to increase the size offering up to 6 sizes. This allowing us to accommodate to a broader range of riders, and not compromise the overall setup and fit.

UCI COMPLIANT

We may have overlooked the Time-trial market on the previous Crono model. Opting not to make that platform UCI compliant. In the original planning for the new model, we felt that it was a must have feature for the Crono SLR. This opening the doors for an untapped market.

INCREASED TRACTION, SMOOTHER RIDE

The previous Crono had a max tire size allowance of 25mm. The Crono SLR has the ability to run up to a 32mm tire.

GO FAST, STOP FAST

The speed that the Crono SLR produces is tamed by flat mount hydraulic disc brakes, modulated by TRP HD-T910/912 levers.
