WORTHY TO RACE, BUT PREFERS THE CLUB PACE
 

The trails that have been blazed by the Equipe-R have been applied to the Equipe. Using the same geometry, tube optimization and SLP technology as the Equipe-R but with the use of slightly more compliant carbon blend of T800H and T700. The Equipe is tuned to provide a more forgiving ride without trading away much on the performance side of things. The layup of the Equipe increases comfort by using T700H in place of the more rigid T800H in areas affecting comfort, while retaining torsional stiffness with T800H in place of the T1000G found in the Equipe-R for precise handling. The Equipe is sharply dressed, with internal cable routing, 27.2mm seat post to further enhance vertical comfort when riding over secondary roads, and the acceptance of 25mm tires to round off a high dedication to a plush but fast ride.

The Equipe is tuned to provide a more forgiving ride without trading away much on the performance side of things. The layup of the Equipe increases comfort by using T700H, a more compliant carbon in areas affecting comfort, in areas such as the seat tube and seat stays while retaining torsional stiffness with T800H a more rigid carbon in areas such as the bottom bracket, down tube, head tube and chain stays.


TAPERED HEAD TUBE

The Strategically designed head tube on Equipe frames tapers from 1-1/8” at the top to 1-1/4” at the bottom. This orientation Increases strength and stiffness for greater steering precision and responsiveness during out-of-the-saddle efforts.

This wider base creates a stiffer, stronger junction, and this gradual transition from top to bottom eliminates the likelihood of weak spots in the structure of the head tube. The other positive of this design is a reduction in weight due to the smaller bearings.

DUAL EFFICIENCY SEAT STAYS

The Equipe features seat and chain stays in the rear triangle of the frame, that have been engineered to maximize the vertical compliance and the lateral efficiency where it is most required. The stays for each size of frame have been computerized to specifically dictate these characteristics to create consistency throughout the offered size range. Overly slender seat stays influence vertical compliance, and oversized chain stays ensure that things in that vicinity remain laterally tight.
