The word Neo describes something new. A new platform, a new design, and a new way to look at road bikes. Discover new roads on the Aquila neo. A bike designed to defy the conventional road bike. Everything we learned from the development of the Equipe-R, through extensive real world testing, rider feedback, and our burning desire to do more.
Featuring a supportive endurance focused geometry, DES+ rear stays engineered to soak-up the imperfections in the road, 12mm thru axles and flat mount hydraulic disc brakes that stop on a dime.


BB86

In order to best manage power transfer and optimize Q-Factor the Neo features a BB86 bottom bracket. The wide 86mm cross section, press fit bearings, and smooth transitions better manage loads and yield a laterally robust structure which increases pedaling efficiency by effectively delivering power to the drivetrain rather than losing it to unwanted frame flex. The BB86 system also allows for the use of most standard crank sets that have a 24mm ID spindle.


FLAT MOUNT HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES

With the ability to go fast, you have to be able to stop fast. The Aquila Neo features Shimano Flat mount hydraulic disc brakes. Superior braking capability in all conditions, with clean aesthetics as the calipers sit flush right up to the frame to provide provide a clean appearance.


DES+ DUAL EFFICIENCY STAYS PLUS

Similar to the Equipe, the Neo features DES technology. The seat and chain stays in the rear triangle of the frame, which have been engineered to maximize the vertical compliance and the lateral efficiency where it is most required. The butting profiles for the are computerized to specifically dictate these characteristics to create consistency throughout the offered size range. The DES + treatment for the layup of the Neo further amplifies vertical compliance in the seat stays, and incorporates chain stays that feature vertically flat and horizontally wide sections ensure that things comply when needed, and remain stiff when putting the power down.


SLP - STRATEGIC LAYUP PROCESS

The Aquila Neo utilizes SLP-technology, Strategic Layup Process. SLP incorporates a Carbon nanotube reinforced epoxy resin with a strategic layup of T800H and T700H Carbon Fiber. Incorporation of Carbon nanotubes offers improved strength, by allowing the exemption of additional material without penalizing the structural integrity of the tube sets. The cohesion between these grades of fibers and Nano technology improves performance and comfort simultaneously compared to singular carbon grade layups, such as singular use of just T800H or T700H alone. This offering the ability to determine where the frame requires stiffness for power transfer, and where it requires compliance to aid in comfort.
